H A P P Y B I R T H D A Y M I K U

So... I have been slacking al though I had that one month sembreak. As I will always say, I'll try my best to update my blog weekly:p But no promises.

31st August is Malaysia's independence day, but its also my favourite Vocaloid character's birthday!
Its Hatsune Miku's Birthday. So on celebration for that, me and my friends had team up to do a huge collaboration shoot. Thanks to Ashley (the lady boss of our group), we're able to gather up 11 Miku-chans. It was tiring but all of us did had fun!

Do read till the end as I'll be writing on an incident that happened during the photoshoot. But first, heres the pictures.

Thanks to the saikangs that attended the photoshoot too!

So theres a slight problem that happened in The Mansion (studio) that day. As everyone saw the owner posting a post regarding the change of rules saying only allowing 5 cosplayers including photographers for the price of RM115. Any extra person will be charged. This rule apparently only applied to cosplayers. The reason why they changed the rule all of the sudden is on that day, the owner's mother said that we simply park our car and the car is blocking the neighbour. We were all inside so we are unsure of how the others park their car. Also, please take note that other then our group of cosplayers, theres two more groups doing photoshoot in the studio! Of course there would not be enough of parking space and that we need to double park. But we didn't disturbed the neighbours, thats the main thing. She came in and ask us to move our car, one of our saikang did the job on removing the cars that is blocking (I'm not sure how did the car blocked because I was inside). As we have wrapped our shoot up, we didn't even dared to stay any longer as the owner's mother called the owner and said that we are making a mess, we are taking up the parking spaces, the next group shoot will be here any second, they didn't listen to me... etc.....

So thats kinda the reason why they changed the rule on the exact same day as because there were too many cars outside the studio. But please take note again, there were THREE groups including our group having photoshoot inside the studio. That is why theres a lot of cars. But because we were the only group that was downstairs using the white screen, the lady kinda put the blame on us...? But anyways, there wasn't any conflict between us and the lady nor the owner. We just clean up as fast as we could and left. I just wanna write this out because I saw people writing around saying "maybe its the Miku group" and they misunderstand us... We were just tiny groups of potatoes trying to get the photoshoot done in time hahahaha!!

Thanks for reading once again, I'll try my best to update more!

A - R I S E

I know I've been gone, again. But I promise it was because of exams and work that kinda got in the way. So anyway..... Whaaasaaaap! This will be a throwback post obviously. Heres an update on my most recent cosplay photo shoot. For those that do not know, cosplay had always been my hobby since 2011.

Series: Love Live! School Idol Project
Group: A-RISE
Song: Private Wars and Shocking Party
Character: Kira Tsubasa

We actually did a studio photo shoot and its a very super experience we had with The Mansion - Afterbefore. Please check their Facebook page out for more pictures on the studio. We feel so blessed that the studio provides air-corn so the whole shoot was comfortable. We actually had to change into two different costume, which made things more easier because theres a bathroom and rooms to change in or get ready.
Heres some behind the scene pictures.

 Second costume

And heres the real photographs.

Heres a big shoutout to my group mates, Joey and Yone! They had been the best support ever and without them this photo shoot wouldn't be a success! Also, a big shoutout to the photographer, Raz who took his time to come and spend the time with us! Really happy that you could make it!
If you would like to see more pictures from this photoshoot, make sure to visit Raz's photography page. I'll leave the link at the bottom.

Here comes to the end of the blog post again, I'll be updating again soon, I promise! Please stay tuned. Thanks for reading!:)

H I J A B S T E R

Yes that was drew by me, and whaaaasaaaaap! Happy Ramadan for those who is Muslims. I just want to have another quick update on my uni assignment. As you all know by the title itself, yes I'll be writing on Hijabsters. Before I start, I wish to apologise if I wrote anything that offended your culture. I'm still in the process of understanding the culture itself. So shall we begin?

The theme for the video that we were making was: Cultural Hybridity which means the mixture of two culture to form a new and modern culture. The idea of Hijabsters was actually recommended by our lecturer who is a Hijabster herself. I was not really found with the idea of doing this topic as I'm not that familiar with the culture itself and we were a group of 6 Chinese girls. We know nothing about Hijabster. But what the hack, we could learn something new throughout this assignment anyways.

In our video, we will be interviewing different races on their knowledge about Hijabster. Here is some of the pictures taken during and after the interview.

 The Indian guest: Darshini

The Hijabster guest: Amirah and Siti

The non-Hijabster guest: Fatini, Norafika and Najda
The Chinese guest: Sophia

They were all very fun people to work with, we even got to interview non-Hijabsters who is all studying fashion design. They all did a great job with answering the question and we were happy that the interview turned out greet and smoothly thanks to all the guest!

My final thoughts for this whole thing, it is something really new for me as I am a chinese myself, I know totally nothing about Hijabster until this assignment. After the filming section with the Hijabsters and non-Hijabsters, I realised that wearing the hijab can actually make you look more beautiful and confident. Same goes to the muslim who does not wear hijab, it does not change who they are, they are still muslim although they do not wear the hijab.

That is all for this post, to know more about Hijabster, make sure to check out our video! Thanks for reading!

HISTORICAL TRIP

Waasaap! Today I will be typing something different compare to what I usually write. It would be about my first assignment ever given in my collage life. Buahaha I know, major throwback much but please stay with me:P

"You have to goto a historical place, learn about it and do a presentation about the place you went to"

The idea of going to Melaka never came in mind until our lecturer announced that most of the historical places in KL is taken, and thats when we were kinda forced to go somewhere other then KL. Melaka, Ā Famosa.

Once we have reached Melaka and settled down in our hotel, we then went to Jongker Street and thats when all the walking begin.
We had quite a lot of trouble finding the Ā Famosa building. We ended up asking for directions but the person we asked told us that the building is far away and its a 30 minute walk from where we were. But along the way we did had a lot of sight seeing.
We took the wrong route and had to climb up this flight of stairs to reach the building, and yes, I was leading the way, and yes, I was slapped by my team mates. -cries silently-

Tho we came so far just to take a picture of this building but I guess it was a very fun trip especially I'm with my friends and we totally enjoyed the trip. Its been so long since I last came to Melaka and the last time was 10 years ago. I feel proud as a Malaysian knowing that theres still a very beautiful historical building here in our country. We would not have came if this assignment was not proposed.

Since this was a throwback post, we have already did our presentation and it went well! It was a fun experience with this bunch of animals.
So thats all for now, stay tune for more:)
